The accident occurred in Louiseville, about 120 kilometres northeast of Montreal.
A 67-year-old woman died early Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a pickup truck in Louiseville, near Trois-Rivières, about 120 kilometres northeast of Montreal.
The driver of the truck stopped at a stop sign on St-Antoine St. and then turned left on St-Laurent Ave., where she collided with the pedestrian, who was crossing at the time, said Sûreté du Québec Sgt. Stéphane Tremblay.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead in a hospital, while the driver was treated for shock.
Tremblay said it didn’t appear the driver was going very fast at the time of the accident.
