A Winnipeg person is dealing with arson charges next a fire on Friday, police say.

At 6 a.m. officers noticed a garage engulfed in flames in the 1600 block of William Avenue West.

Officers safely evacuated the occupants of the key residence.

They afterwards discovered the suspect had been at the 1st block of Keewatin Avenue and broke into a car that he subsequently established on fire at 2:45 a.m.

The suspect then went to the garage in the 1600 block of William Avenue West, where by he established the construction on fireplace, police say.

This prompted serious accidents to himself and in depth problems to the garage and a neighbouring garage.

The suspect then went to the main home to alert the occupants of the fire and questioned for entry but was denied.

He then pushed earlier the residents, took off his dresses, and stole a blanket right before running absent.

Through their investigation, officers had been offered a description of a male suspect. Soon thereafter, officers observed a male close by who experienced suffered 1st and 2nd-diploma burns to his higher system.

The suspect was taken to the healthcare facility in essential affliction but later upgraded to secure.

He was then positioned underneath arrest with no incident.

A 35-year-old from Winnipeg is now facing various rates such as arson and has been detained in custody.
