Toronto Star journalists received multiple honours from the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing (SABEW) Canada on Tuesday night, during the 8th Annual Best in Business Awards.

The Star’s Richard Warnica won silver for his focus on business and politics.
Investigative
Warnica won a second Silver, alongside Andrew Bailey, in the investigative category, in recognition of their piece, “Several of Doug Ford’s Key Pandemic Decisions Swayed by Business Interests.”
Best Young Journalist
Jacob Lorinc won the Jeff Sanford Best Young Journalist Award in May and was presented the award Tuesday night. The award is named after Financial Post and Canadian Business magazine journalist Jeff Sanford, who passed away in 2018.
Personal Finance and Investing
Evelyn Kwong was awarded an honourable mention for her work on “Millennial Money,” a weekly series about financial advice for millennials.
