The Sûreté du Québec have made two arrests in the Aug. 8 killing of Achraf Thimoumi, who was found in a car in Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury in the Quebec City region.
The two suspects, ages 35 and 34, are residents of Albanel and Normandin in the Lac-St-Jean area. They are to appear in court by video conference on Thursday.
SQ investigators believe the killing of Thimoumi, a foreign national from Morocco, is linked to the illegal drug trade.
Quebec’s office of criminal prosecutions is to determine what charges are laid against the two men.
The SQ urges anyone with information that could further their investigation to contact them at 1-800-659-4264.
