Toronto police arrested and charged six people on Monday in connection with an armed robbery that took place on Jan. 15.

Police said that a woman allegedly met with a man she knew and then got into his vehicle, where there were two other men in disguises. The three suspects allegedly pointed a gun at the woman then stole her phone and keys.

Police say the suspects drove to the victim’s home and used her key to force their way inside.

On Jan. 17, Toronto police found the car the suspects used near Adelaide and Peter streets. That same day, police arrested the suspects and found a loaded handgun on one of the accused.

Three of the suspects are facing various charges including, but not limited to, robbery with a firearm, break and enter, disguise with intent, kidnapping and forcible confinement.

The other three suspects are facing similar charges in addition to 45 other offences including firearms and drug trafficking charges.

During the investigation, police say they found three additional loaded handguns and approximately $150,000 in cash. They also seized over eight kilograms of fentanyl, cocaine, heroin and crystal meth costing about $1.3 million.

All six people appeared in court on Jan. 23 and are in custody waiting bail.
