Sask. Health Authority assumes duty of 5 Extendicare houses


The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has verified it has finalized an arrangement with Extendicare Canada Inc. (ECI), which offers extended-expression housing, care and relevant expert services to seniors. The SHA has assumed functions of treatment expert services at all five Extendicare houses in Saskatchewan, successful Sunday, Oct. 9.

The changeover of services to the SHA involved a formal welcome for people and team in just about every residence Tuesday with SHA senior leaders.

Specifics of the settlement include the changeover of virtually 1,300 Extendicare employees to the SHA and the order of all 5 properties (1 in Saskatoon, just one in Moose Jaw and 3 in Regina).

The SHA’s purpose with the transition is to give secure, constant, top quality care for inhabitants and people whilst preserving steadiness through the staffing period of the homes. The SHA states that it is hunting forward to creating its relationship with the citizens, family members and staff about the coming months.
