The Health Ministry also announced that the number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 had dropped by 17 to 1,925.
Of those patients, 47 were in intensive care — a decrease of five.
The province reported that 979 more COVID-19 cases had been confirmed through PCR testing at its clinics. However, because this method of testing is not accessible to most Quebecers, the case numbers are not representative of the situation in the province.
