Minimum wage raises in a few of four Atlantic provinces


The least wage has long gone up right now in three of the four Atlantic provinces.

New Brunswick has instituted a just one-dollar increase, bringing its rate to the best in the region at $13.75 for each hour.

A 50-cent jump in Newfoundland and Labrador indicates the charge in Canada’s most easterly province at the moment stands at $13.70 for every hour.

Nova Scotia’s minimum amount wage went up 25 cents to strike $13.60 for every hour.

The price did not raise in Prince Edward Island, where the governing administration declared final week that the minimum amount wage would enhance from $13.70 to $14.50 on Jan. 1.

Equally P.E.I. and Newfoundland and Labrador program further boosts that will see the level strike $15 per hour in Oct 2023, when Nova Scotia options to achieve $15 an hour in Oct 2024.
