Kaila Chiavatti, 26, started a new job and decided that a fresh, fall hair colour is just what she needed.

Kaila has naturally brown and medium-density hair. She wanted to brighten up her hair colour for an upcoming vacation but didn’t want to go too blonde, so I opted to use a high-lifting colour formula to create soft tone-on-tone caramel highlights. I started by placing baby foils along her hairline to brighten around the face, and then incorporated a backcombing “balayage” technique to defuse other sections of the hair, resulting in a beautifully blended sun-kissed colour.

I cleansed her hair with Oribe – Signature Shampoo and Conditioner, then layered the mid-lengths and ends with Oribe – Supershine Moisturizing Cream for added hydration. Before styling I applied some KMS – Styling Foam, for long lasting style and hold, then blow-dried her hair with a round brush. I created her tousled style using a curling wand and finished with Oribe – Matte Waves Texture Lotion.

I enhanced Kaila’s almond eyes I blended a matte cream shadow onto her eyelids. I evened out her complexion with a tinted moisturizer and used bronzer to warm up her complexion. I played up her cheeks with a light dusting of a deep burgundy blush and kept her lip colour neutral for balance and softness.
