Kamloops Blazers star Logan Stankoven gets another crack at being a thorn in the Vancouver Giants’ side tonight.

The Blazers (13-5-3-1) visit the Giants (9-11-3-2) at the Langley Events Centre (7 p.m., www.sportsnet650.ca) this evening for the second half of a home-and-home weekend series. The Blazers beat the Giants 3-0 Friday in Kamloops, and Stankoven was in on all three markers, finishing with one goal and two assists.

That gives the 19-year-old forward 14 goals and 35 points in his last 21 games against the Giants when you combine the teams’ three games so far this season this season with the 12 regular season meetings and six playoff match-ups from last season.
Stankoven does score against most teams, truth be told. He has 16 goals and 40 points in 18 games this season going into Saturday night. The Dallas Stars prospect, who’s a Kamloops native, had 45 goals and 104 points in 59 regular season games last year and then 17 goals and 31 points in 17 postseason contests.

Jesper Vikman made 42 saves in the Vancouver net on Friday. Dylan Ernst turned away 38 shots to record the shutout in the Blazer cage.
