The system of 22-year-previous Jaqueline McDermott from Kitchener, Ont., has been discovered.
RCMP confirmed to CTV Information that her body was observed by research and rescue teams on Saturday.
McDermott was documented missing on Oct. 1, and according to RCMP, she was final noticed close to her automobile after attending a meditation retreat. RCMP mentioned her car or truck was located broken down along Freeway 97C involving Merritt and Logan Lake but she was not in, or in close proximity to it.
This arrives just a couple days soon after her mother and father flew out to B.C. to be a part of the research attempts for their missing daughter.
Jaqui’s mother, Nathalie St-Maurice, posted a photograph her daughter drew to Facebook on Sunday, along with a statement reading through in part: “She was stubborn and humorous and creative and passionate and entire of joy. She was a beacon that shined out to the world and pulled men and women near. She believed in goodness and kindness of individuals above every thing else. She was light.”
The submit goes on to say, “honour her with really like and laughter.”
In yet another Facebook statement, Katharine Kitsemetry, a buddy of the McDermott spouse and children, verified Jaqui’s system was observed “after exhaustive searches by the B.C. Search and Rescue groups.”
“Our hearts are permanently shattered. Please respect our privateness as we study how to reside in a entire world without the need of her. Make sure you maintain her in your hearts,” Kitsemetry mentioned in the write-up.

RCMP do not consider any legal exercise was included in Jaqui’s sudden death. But the B.C. Coroners Provider has been notified and has introduced an investigation into the loss of life.
