Gatineau police say that an investigation launched in April culminated in two raids in Hull last week yielding more than 640 grams of cocaine, about 80 grams of crack and just over $7,000 in cash.
Officers executed search warrants at addresses on Europe Boulevard and Mont-Bleu Boulevard on the morning of June 17, in an operation with the aim of “putting an end to a drug trafficking network operating in Gatineau,” police said Thursday.
Also seized were 233 unspecified pills, 360 contraband cigarettes, drug trafficking packaging and paraphernalia and two cellphones, police said.
A 48-year-old Gatineau resident was arrested and released following questioning. Charges relating to drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime are to be submitted to prosecutors.
A 58-year-old Gatineau man will also face Tobacco Tax Act charges.
