Gatineau man, 25, arrested after drugs, weapons found in raid

A 25-year-old Gatineau man faces a number of charges following a raid Wednesday afternoon that led to the seizure of a variety of drugs and a 9 mm calibre gun, a rifle, and ammunition.

The raid, conducted by a Gatineau police in collaboration with the regional drug task force was conducted at a residence on Monette Street in the Templeton district.

In addition to the weapons, police seized more than 50 grams of cocaine and 33 grams of crack.

The suspect was released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
