Vendor releases new app this month, ahead of full switchover in July.
A new smartphone app is set to replace the current one used to pay for parking in Saskatoon.
The vendor that provided the current WayToPark app released the new Parkedin app this month.
Both apps will work through June. Parkedin will officially take over effective July 1.
A city media release stated the new app is expected to be fairly similar to the previous one, with some added functions such as the ability to scan a QR code on a nearby parking station in order to pay.
Parkedin is available in both the Android and Apple app stores. The network of parking pay stations also continues to accept coins and credit card payments.
