Boney M, featuring original singer Liz Mitchell, had two back-to-back years of sold-out shows before COVID-19. Tickets go on sale Friday.
After back-to-back years in Saskatoon in 2018 and 2019, in which each show sold out so quickly that additional shows were added, Boney M is set to return to Saskatoon this holiday season.
Featuring original singer Liz Mitchell, the band shares holiday favourites and classic hits that have proved timeless after more than 40 years.
Formed in Germany in 1974, the band had eight No. 1 singles and three No. 1 albums on European charts.
One of the dominant disco-cult bands of the 1970s and ’80s, Boney M produced hits including Rasputin, Daddy Cool, Belfast and Mary’s Boy Child.
Their 1981 Christmas album secured a place in homes around the world each year, with Faliz Navidad and Little Drummer Boy bringing cheer to the holiday season.
TCU Place has partnered with the Broadway Theatre to bring Boney M featuring Liz Mitchell to TCU Place on Dec. 10. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at tcutickets.ca.
